Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District听(Goose Creek CISD), based in Baytown, Texas, has听selected听Joe Rodriguez, Ed.D.,听as the district鈥檚 next Superintendent of Schools.
As the 16th Superintendent of Schools for Goose Creek CISD, Rodriguez brings听27 years of public education听experience to the role, as听well听as a听strong commitment to student achievement, collaborative leadership, and a future-focused approach that will continue to support the important work happening across听the听district, according to a statement by Goose Creek CISD leaders.

Rodriguez previously served as Superintendent of Fredericksburg ISD听and as Chief of Schools for Fort Bend ISD. He听holds听a听bachelor鈥檚 degree in psychology, a master鈥檚 degree in educational听administration听and a doctorate in educational leadership.
Rodriguez will officially begin his role on Jan.听5, 2026.
