Jay Rambo, AIA, LEED AP, was promoted to vice president at SmithGroupJJR, continuing in the role of office director at the company鈥檚 Dallas location, a position he has held since 2010. Rambo is currently serving as the firm鈥檚 principal-in-charge for the University of Texas at Dallas Engineering Building, which will house the university鈥檚 rapidly growing mechanical engineering program when completed later this year. For Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, he is leading SmithGroupJJR鈥檚 design of the Ford Research and Innovation Center, an interdisciplinary research facility that will house SMU鈥檚 high-performance computing capabilities and also become the new home for the Dedman College Interdisciplinary Institute.
