ClimateMaster added 6-ton units to its Tranquility 27 series of geothermal and water-source heat pumps that use EarthPure zero ozone depletion refrigerant. The product line features double-isolated compressor mounting and an ECM variable speed fan motor, foil-backed air handler insulation, MERV11 pleated 2-inch filters and dehumidification mode.

Pumps are available in 2 to 6 tons with efficiencies up to 31.5 EER and 5.1 COP. They are rated for water loop heat pump, ground loop heat pump and ground water heat pump in upflow, downflow, horizontal and split system configurations.

Space-Ray has added four new higher-capacity units to its LTS Series infrared gas tube heaters. Available in both natural and propane gas, they range in capacity from 40,000 BTU/hr to 250,000 BTU/hr. When using tube heaters, annual fuel savings can range from 50 to 70 percent compared to forced-air heating, according to the company.

The LTS Series can be used in a straight, L-shape, U-shape or Z-shape configuration and their 90-degree elbows and corner reflections allow mounting near walls, doors or corners. The unit comes with a factory pre-assembled tube and reflector body and a six-bolt control box for on-site assembly. Heaters can be mounted at heights of 12 feet or higher with tube length varying from 15 to 80 feet, depending on the model. The LTS tube heaters are CSA certified for horizontal and vertical venting and for incline mounting on up to a 2-pitch roof surface.
