PROMOTION — The SunSource commercial energy system from Lennox Commercial integrates directly with 3- to 6-ton solar-ready Energence rooftop units, which provides effective efficiency levels of 34 SEER and beyond, according to the company. The system collects energy from the sun and feeds it directly into the rooftop unit. Any excess electricity is sent to the rest of the building for other uses, or back to the power grid, possibly earning a credit on monthly utility bills.

Feds Launch Green Ribbon School Program
WASHINGTON, D.C. — A tree-planting ceremony at the Department of Education headquarters marked the launch of a new program to recognize eco-friendly school facilities and operations that aims to both help schools in need of money and prepare students for jobs.
The Green Ribbon Schools program will “recognize schools that have taken great strides in greening their curricula, buildings, school grounds and overall building operations,” according to a department statement.
