An auditorium wall collapsed at Mount Vernon High School late Monday, but no one was injured. Police, fire and construction officials descended on the school after the collapse at about 5:30 p.m.

Crane collapses at Choctaw Middle School

CHOCTAW, OK — A construction crane collapsed a few hundred feet from a school playground in Choctaw, Monday after 10 a.m. The accident happened next to the Choctaw Middle and Elementary schools. The crane was being used to build a new middle school, which is a $16.5 million project. The Middle School Principal is unsure if the accident will push back their estimated completion date of May, 2011.
