(WHAS11) – A budget crunch in Kentucky could cut $26 million in construction projects from one of Jefferson County’s oldest high schools. 聽 Valley High School Principal Gary Hurt says he’s spearheading a phone-call effort to change the mind of legislators. 聽 The principal says Valley has had no construction in more than 30 years and renovations are needed due to the Fort Knox expansion. 聽
BROOKVILLE 鈥� The school board last week approved the estimated construction costs and the advertising for bids for a new pre-kindergarten through third-grade building to replace Westbrook Elementary.The new school will be built on land adjoining the district鈥檚 fourth- through 12th-grade building.
